The Soondra Foundation, CEO & Founder
TELL US ABOUT YOUR JOB.
My startup, The Soondra Foundation, provides micro-grants to the working poor in India so they can receive immediate care in a medical crisis. We were incubated at the University of Chicago’s Polsky Exchange, where we built and worked with a passionate team in a dynamic environment. I love my startup team!
The Soondra Foundation focuses on individuals who earn only $3-$5/day. These individuals are unable to set aside funds for a rainy day. We provide them that safety net to help prevent catastrophic financial consequences due to medical emergencies.
WHAT DO YOU DO WHEN YOU'RE NOT WORKING?
I love walking my dog along the Lake Michigan Bluffs.
WHY ARE YOU SERVING AS A FINAL ROUND JUDGE?
I'm really excited to learn about the teams and their projects. I want to know how they came up with their ideas and what type of organizations they may want to start.
WHY SHOULD STUDENTS AND PROFESSIONALS ATTEND THE FINAL ROUND AT NATIONAL CONFERENCE?
SASEtank will help the audience actively learn how to clarify their communication skills by seeing other individuals present and receive feedback from the judges. This is an important skill, and improving upon it will help them become a better professional.
