Since 1958, NASA has amassed a rich history of unique scientific and technological achievements in human space flight, aeronautics, science, and space applications. Those accomplishments include the International Space Station, improved aircraft safety, and dozens of robotic interplanetary probes, including the first manmade object to reach interstellar space, Voyager-1.
We have landed people on the Moon, sent spacecraft to the Sun and every planet in the solar system, and launched robotic explorers to travel beyond it. NASA’s work benefits Americans and people around the world. NASA’s budget supports a strong economy and creates spinoffs that improve the quality of life.
